During the pandemic crisis, teachers, staff and students at Christel House Mexico (CHMX) have been sharing messages of hope during the lockdown. Executive Director Javier Alarcón Benet says the Mexico team was prepared. “Every teacher has a computer or laptop so they could start working from their homes.” The CHMX team sent posts to encourage students to stay safe, developing hashtags to connect with the kids. “One was #StayAtHome and the other was #IAmChristelHouseFamily,” says Javier. Students responded, sharing photos from home. “We are working as a family,” says Javier of the student/teacher connection during the crisis. “It’s a big community of solidarity.”
