Carmen H. attends high school in Colorado. Last year, instead of holiday gifts, she asked for money to donate to a charity. “I believe everyone has the power to make a difference in other people’s lives,” she says. After a family trip to Christel House Mexico, Carmen knew what she wanted to do. Visiting the homes of Christel House Mexico students, she saw the challenges impoverished children face every day. It had an impact on her. “It really touches your heart,” she says. The children inspired Carmen. “After going to Christel House Mexico, I felt I could really help the kids there.” She donated her charity dollars to Christel House and encourages others to join her. “Christel House gives you an opportunity to help. It’s just a really beautiful thing.”
